Rules & Guidelines

1. Treat other players with respect and let's create a friendly atmosphere with a polite community.

That is pretty much the foundation for this project to work. Limited profanity, be polite and considerate. We want to be respectful to each other to reduce the amount of rules.

2. Stealing, griefing, and PVP

Even though this is not particularly prohibited, you should steal, grief, and kill according to rule #1: be respectful. Since we don't have any protection plugins, it is always possible to do so. But we do not want to become an anarchy server. And if you are more of an anarchy person, there are better servers out there for you.

3. Hacking and mods

Fair Play Enforced: No cheating, stealing, or griefing. TNT duping is permitted or any other kind of duping is allowed. Also, feel free to slice some portals.

Think Community: No unfair advantages like x-ray or hacking.

4. Environmental Care

Patch up damage and keep the server tidy. Keep the spawn area and hubs nice and clean. You are allowed to build shops and community buildings.

5. Build everywhere

Sign Your Creations and help keep the server navigable. We don't have any plot or protection plugins whatsoever and we are not going to have them in the future.

So you can build everywhere. Stick to rule #1 and stay respectful. You are also welcome to start projects in the spawn, the nether hub, the end, or elsewhere.

It is recommended to announce what you are doing in Discord to prevent others from reverting your changes.

6. Lag efficiency

You need to be aware, that every type of lag that cannot be turned off will add up to the global lag of the server and make it unplayable.

So, be as lag-efficient as possible. We do not have any size limits or maximum villagers per breeder, but we ask you to always challenge yourself to adjust the design to be as lag-efficient as possible.

Please use barrels if possible.

The compactness below is based on the storage approach that includes a Redstone-hopper locking system.

Using Double Chests:

Pros:

  • Less hoppers = less stress on the server. Every double chest will only need a single hopper (or 1 hopper/54 slots of items).
  • Double chests are decently compact.

Cons

  • Chests are ticked by the server. This will cause more stress on the server.
  • Client fps lag. Although the storage is likely to be further than 64 blocks away (which is the chest render distance), it would be inconvenient to see massive drops in fps whenever You pass by the storage (when entering/exiting the base or storage area).

Using Barrels:

Pros:

  • Barrels are not ticked by the server. More lag-friendly than chests.
  • Barrels don't cause client fps lag (since barrels are full blocks).

Cons:

  • Twice as many hoppers are used than in the double chest approach (1 hopper/ 27 slots of items). Every barrel will need a hopper.
  • Many more hoppers may cause more stress on the server.
  • Not as compact as using double chests

7. AFK-ing

Please feel free to AFK according to rule #1

8. Think us before me
